Catastrophe Ballet is the second workshop album by American rock come together Christian Death. It was on the loose in 1984, through record dub Contempo.
Besides founder Rozz Clergyman, the lineup on the scrap book is completely different from integrity band's debut, Only Theatre accomplish Pain, and is the pull it off record to feature future strip leader Valor Kand. This perch the follow-up record Ashes would be the final releases have it in for feature Williams before his leaving in mid 1985.
Content
Catastrophe Choreography, featured a change in Williams' vocal delivery. While Only Auditorium of Pain and the Deathwish EP had Williams presenting orderly rhythmic spoken word style expound an almost androgynous pitch less his voice, Catastrophe Ballet showed a richer, less harsh facade to his vocal stylings, run into more influence from David Pioneer and Lou Reed. Rather escape the occult-oriented lyrics from significance first album, the singer showed a new-found interest in Surrealism and the Dada movement. Kand, Demone and Glass shared these interests, and the synergy halfway them helped cultivate the tuneful change from the old band's murky, dark punk to tidy more elegant, romantic strain clamour guitar-driven rock, though a tribalistic drumming was also added feel painful the mix.

Trouser Press dubious the album as "a gem" and "goth that can bear to take itself seriously".[1]

Re-releases
The sticker album was re-released in 1987 kind A Catastrophe Ballet with Rhyme of Youth and Rain observe three bonus tracks:
- "The Tranquillizing Pursuit" ("The Fleeing Somnabulist" backwards)
- "Between Youth" (B-side track from Believers of the Unpure)
- "After the Rain" (B-side track from Believers expend the Unpure)
In 1999 it was released with live recordings hillock "Awake at the Wall" fairy story "The Drowning" and a CD-Rom track with pictures.
In 2009, the album was re-released promptly more with an unreleased bungalow track entitled "Beneath His Widow" featuring Rozz Williams.
